About Us

"With a lifelong passion for working with children, I established an in-home daycare in 2007 to provide a safe, nurturing environment for families. My dedication to children's well-being and development grew from years of caring for siblings, neighborhood children, and children at church.

For over a decade, I operated a successful daycare, expanding it to a larger facility in 2017 and providing care for military families. I found immense joy in supporting families and watching the children in my care grow.

My passion for bringing families together led me to expand "Mommy and Me time" to "Family and Me" (F.A.M), which evolved into BH2LH. BH2LH is a non-profit organization that provides a supportive community and organized events for families to connect, play, and learn together. 

I am honored to serve as Vice Chair of Big Harts 2 Little Harts. I have a strong passion for serving the youth with compassion and purpose. I am a woman of God who finds deep joy in giving back to my community. For seven years I have worked as a social worker, supporting families and advocating for the well‑being others. I also lead a table at The Grove for Women’s Bible Study, where faith and fellowship guide my heart. I am a wife and proud mother to Shalie, Xavier, and Noamie—my greatest inspiration in this work. I believe every child deserves love, stability, and hope, and I am committed to walking alongside families to help make that a reality. 

With a robust background in Finance and current leadership experience as CEO of a non-profit retirement community, Patricia brings valuable expertise to the BH2LH F.A.M Board of Directors. Her decision to join the board stems from a desire to contribute directly to the organization's financial health. Patricia is focused on implementing strategies and providing oversight to ensure BH2LH F.A.M achieves lasting financial stability.

With a background spanning five years in social work, Ida brings valuable experience and a passion for helping others to the Big Harts 2 Little Hearts F.A.M Foundation. Currently working as an Adult Care Manager in Rochester, N.Y., where she lives with her husband Ryan, son Jaden (2), and dog Galayo, Ida is eager to make a difference. She is particularly excited about planning events through the foundation to support and strengthen community ties among local families. Beyond her professional and volunteer interests, Ida values time with family and friends, enjoys documentaries and reality TV, and likes shopping.

Deeply believing in the adage "it takes a village," Abigail is thrilled to be part of Big Harts 2 Little Hearts Family Foundation (BH2LH F.A.M) and contribute to building a supportive community for families in Riverside. As a mother to a young child, she sought an organization dedicated to child enrichment and parent connection. Her professional background in translational medical research, which led to a PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, reinforced her understanding of how vital strong networks are for success. Although experienced in volunteering with adults and students, Abigail is eager to apply her passion for fostering connections to BH2LH F.A.M's mission, and she already feels blessed by the relationships formed within the group.

Guided by the principle that "giving back and helping others is the greatest gift that we can ever give," Alinda is enthusiastic about her involvement with BH2LH F.A.M Foundation  As a Riverside resident, she cherishes her family and enjoys making memories through motorhome adventures, baking, and playing games. Alinda also loves reading in her spare time and looks forward to contributing her positive energy and commitment to helping others through the foundation's work.

My name is Leah Goens, and I’m thrilled to be part of the Big Harts 2 Little Hearts Foundation. I have a Master’s degree in Education and work as an elementary school teacher. I’ve always had a deep love for working with children, and my passion lies in supporting and uplifting the community. Being part of a team that makes a real difference is truly inspiring, and I’m honored to contribute to such meaningful work.

A dedicated professional and active member of the Riverside community. She currently writes administrative policy for the County of Riverside's Department of Public Social Services. In addition to her work with the county, her  and her husband own and operate a media company, creating memorable wedding films and professional corporate videos. Jamie is excited to be involved with [Big Harts 2 Little Hearts F.A.M Foundation], driven by her strong belief in the importance of building strong, positive relationships with children from an early age.
